Level 3 ICU Registered Nurse (RN): Facility: W. W. Hastings Hospital Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Contract Dates: November 23, 2026 – February 20, 2027
Days – 3 × 12-hour shifts per week Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Position Overview: W. W. Hastings Hospital is seeking an experienced Level 3 ICU Registered Nurse to provide care to acutely ill adult and pediatric patients with a wide variety of medical conditions and diseases.
The ideal candidate must have at least three years of nursing experience and previous pediatric experience. Key
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult and pediatric patients. Monitor patients' conditions, assess clinical changes, and respond promptly to changes in health status. Administer medications and treatments safely according to established protocols.
Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in the Cerner electronic medical record system. Use the Pyxis automated medication dispensing system for medication management. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols, including the ICU mask policy. Provide care according to unit staffing ratios and facility guidelines. Required
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience . Previous pediatric nursing experience is mandatory. Active Oklahoma single-state nursing license or compact nursing license.
Current American Heart Association (AHA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required. Stokes certificate (8) Facility Information ICU Staffing Ratio: 2:1 Step-Down Unit (SDU) Staffing Ratio: 3:1 EMR: Cerner Medication Dispensing System: Pyxis Scrub Color: Navy blue ICU Mask Policy: Masks must be worn at all times in the ICU. Important Notes Candidates must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
All required certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA). The original requirements mention a “need by 9/7 or before” date. Please confirm this deadline, as it does not align with the November 23, 2026 contract start date.
