Nights, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 18 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring open-heart surgery recovery experience and a WA or compact RN license. Details ICU setting including CVICU, neuro ICU, surgical ICU, and trauma ICU care Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30) 18-week assignment length Floating within the hospital required based on patient care needs No block scheduling permitted Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand Minimum 3 years of ICU/CCU experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Open-heart surgery experience required, including recovery of fresh post-surgical patients Experience with devices such as IABP and Impella preferred Prior travel nurse experience required Proficiency with ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring required Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and arrhythmia management required Experience with neurological care including EVD, ICP monitoring, and stroke management required Additional Information Provide direct bedside care to critically ill ICU patients including post-cardiac surgery and multisystem organ dysfunction cases Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, and all time-off requests must be disclosed at time of consideration Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers Travel pairs accepted Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
