Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN licensure and at least one year of ICU experience. Details ICU setting within a hospital environment Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM) On-call required as needed Floating required as needed Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history Requirements Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted) BLS and ACLS certifications required in-hand Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience required within the past two years Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history Two supervisor references required Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response Experienced in management of dysrhythmias Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care/management Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Experience with ETT and NT suctioning Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE use Additional Information Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients, including cardiac and respiratory monitoring Manage ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients using advanced skills such as arterial and central line management Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ICU care team Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Previous permanent staff must have been separated from employment for at least one year to return as a traveler Max of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment First-time travelers are not accepted unless otherwise noted
