Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse position for a nights assignment. The role provides care for adult medical cardiology and cardiac and thoracic surgery patients requiring telemetry monitoring, temporary cardiac pacing, vasoactive and anticoagulant medication infusions, and complex postoperative care. The assignment is scheduled from 12/07/2026 through 03/08/2027.
Job Details
Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience in a large Level I or large Level II trauma setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Iowa or compact nursing license. Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Additional Information: Provides care for patients with cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, chest pain, post-percutaneous coronary intervention needs, arrhythmia management, and left ventricular assist devices. Clinical responsibilities may include caring for patients following esophagectomies, Nissen fundoplications, thoracotomies, heart transplantation, coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements.
