Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience to join a hospital rehab team. Details Inpatient rehabilitation department staffed by PT and OT providers Coverage provided across inpatient hospital floors Patient population ranges from birth through elderly age Patients present with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical diagnoses 40-hour workweek, 5x8-hour day shifts beginning at 8am Weekend rotation required Holiday coverage as needed Requirements Active MA PT license required if applicable Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in an acute care setting required; 2+ years preferred Strong patient handling and transfer technique skills required Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with nursing, physicians, and case management Strong time management skills with ability to multitask and work independently Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluating and treating inpatients across varying ages and diagnoses as part of a collaborative rehab team Must be a flexible, self-directed team player comfortable in a fast-paced acute care environment Local candidates accepted 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
