Quick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Inpatient Psychiatry (Evening Shift) in Elmira, New York. Location Elmira, NY Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift 5-8 hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with holiday and weekend coverage required.
Join our dedicated team in a 25-bed acute inpatient psychiatry unit that provides care for patients presenting with acute psychosis, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and dual diagnosis. Our nursing team is responsible for direct patient care, medication administration, and facilitating patient groups. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Oversee admissions as the Admission Nurse and handle medication distribution for the shift. Engage in patient rounds, conduct vital sign assessments, and support patient activities. Facilitate therapeutic groups and assist in creating individualized care plans.
Manage de-escalation and restraint protocols as per established guidelines. Required Experience Must have a valid RN license and current BLS certification. Experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.
