We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intermediate Care (IMC) team. This position involves caring for a wide variety of patients with diverse medical needs, including chronic and acute conditions across multiple systems. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an intermediate care setting.
Manage a patient ratio of 3:1, ensuring individual attention and care for each patient. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and interpret telemetry for dysrhythmias.
Support ventilator management and patient stabilization. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Demonstrate effective communication with patients and their families.
Qualifications Current WV RN license. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and ventilator care is essential. Ability to float to various units as needed. Flexibility to work 3x12 hour shifts starting at 7 AM, including every other weekend.
Additional Information Orientation sessions are conducted bi-weekly on Thursdays. Blocked schedule requests may be accommodated. 36-hour guaranteed contract options available. Free parking is provided for all staff.
Holiday requests are limited to one of the three major holidays. Participation in COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for medical or religious reasons. Mandatory flu shot compliance, with medical documentation required for refusals.
This role is an excellent opportunity to develop clinical skills in a supportive environment, working with a wide variety of patient diagnoses including cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, and sepsis.
