Position Overview: Provides nursing care to obstetric and gynecologic patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, with flexibility to support Med-Surg as needed.
Job duties: Provide nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Monitor maternal and fetal status and recognize changes requiring intervention. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy according to patient needs and orders.
Assist with obstetric procedures and provide ongoing patient and family education. Provide safe nursing care to Med-Surg patients when floating according to competency.
BLS, PALS & NRP Other requirement: L&D RN experience; ability to float to Med-Surg as needed. Unit Details: Unit: RN L&D Patient Population: Obstetric and gynecologic patients
