Responsibilities include managing common obstetric diagnoses, titrating certain drips (Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc.), and troubleshooting neonatal ventilator equipment (C-PAP, BiPap, high flow). RNs are required to pass fit testing (either primary or secondary) if facial hair is present; failure to meet fit testing requirements can result in cancellation of contract. A charge nurse is on each shift, and the charge nurse takes an assignment.
Urgent need for team-oriented, independent nurses with good communication skills. This is a rural hospital, with the NICU located over an hour from the unit, and limited services due to its remote setting. Candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization, and there is a radius rule of 50 miles.
RTO (Return to Origin) requests needed upfront for 7 days or less during a 13-week contract; additional RTO requests will not be approved. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
