Job Details Employment Type: Travel, on-site RN job Location: Knoxville, TN 37923 Start Date: 11/2/2026 Duration: 13 weeks

3 x 12-hour night shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Weekly Hours: 36 Orientation: 24 hours Weekly Estimated

$2,020-$2,130 Call Requirement: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 during labor; 1:1-8 for postpartum/couplets Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or compact licensure at time of submission Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience Travel nursing experience required Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certification NIHSS required or obtainable after acceptance Experience with electronic health records; Cerner experience preferred Strong skills in labor support, postpartum care, triage, and high-risk obstetric delivery assistance Ability to float as needed and work effectively in a fast-paced maternal-child unit Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate bedside care to laboring and postpartum patients Monitor patient status and support individualized care plans for mothers and newborns Assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and provide recovery care Perform sterile vaginal exams and support common obstetric interventions as needed Manage therapies such as magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, anticoagulation, and antihypertensives Support triage, patient education, and clear communication with the healthcare team Follow unit policies, safety standards, and floating guidelines while adapting to changing patient needs Apply now for this rewarding Labor & Delivery nursing job in Knoxville, Tennessee and join a healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
