$2,250–$2,370
12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m. Hours: 36 hours per week, including every other weekend Work Arrangement: On-site Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Kentucky At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Experience using Epic electronic health records Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) experience preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient advocacy skills Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, effective, and patient- and family-centered care to Labor & Delivery patients.
Complete comprehensive physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety assessments and reassessments. Develop, prioritize, implement, document, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Monitor patient responses to clinical interventions and recognize changes in condition requiring timely action or escalation.
Support patient and family education, comfort, discharge planning, and informed participation in care. Use sound independent clinical judgment when caring for patients with complex maternity and Labor & Delivery needs. Delegate appropriately to licensed and non-licensed team members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and multidisciplinary partners. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, professional development, and unit-based performance initiatives. Promote a safe, clean, secure, and cost-conscious care environment while maintaining compliance with applicable standards and guidelines.
