$2,250–$2,370 Start Date: November 9, 2026 Assignment End Date: February 7, 2027 Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Three 12-hour shifts per week, approximately 36 hours per week
Night shift, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Weekend Requirement: One to two weekends per month Holiday Requirement: No holidays Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3, varying based on unit needs Unit Size: 32 beds Openings: 5 Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery, L&D, or maternity nursing experience Experience caring for both Labor & Delivery and NICU patients, with the willingness and ability to float between both areas Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Demonstrated fetal monitoring experience; a separate fetal monitoring certificate is not required Proficiency in postpartum care, newborn care, antepartum care, and antepartum monitoring Strong communication, clinical judgment, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns. Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period. Deliver comprehensive newborn care, including assessment, education, and coordination of care.
Float to Labor & Delivery and NICU according to unit needs and provide care within demonstrated competencies. Educate patients and families on recovery, newborn care, safety, and available support resources. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff to promote positive birth experiences and patient outcomes.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and education in the medical record.
