3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM | Alternating weekends & holidays)Position OverviewMagnet-designated acute care hospital in Westchester County is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a full-time, direct-hire night shift position. The unit provides comprehensive high-risk and low-risk intrapartum care, antepartum triage, Cesarean section circulation/recovery, and immediate newborn stabilization within a collaborative birthing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage high-risk and routine laboring patients through active labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum transition. Perform electronic fetal monitoring, maternal assessments, and titrate labor interventions/medications. Circulate and assist in obstetric surgical suites for scheduled and emergent Cesarean sections.
Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization at delivery alongside interdisciplinary teams. Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities and supervise ancillary care personnel as needed. RequirementsMinimum 5 years of dedicated Labor & Delivery acute bedside nursing experienceMinimum 1+ year of baseline acute care hospital experienceActive, unrestricted New York State (NYS) RN License in hand upon hireEducation: BSN or MSN requiredRequired Certifications upon hire: AHA BLS and NRP (ACLS required upon hire or obtained within 180 days)
