Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with Ochsner Health, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur.

Thin prep, ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal, bronchial, make smears, preliminary diagnosis, staining, PAP, assist with on-site procedures, specimen labeling/identification * In areas where FNA procedures are performed, our Cytotechnologists are provided a space outside of the procedure room. They do not require us to be present in the room. All of our FNA procedures are physician collected and handed off to our techs. * The person selected would be expected to handle onsite FNA procedures, PAP GYN image guided ThinPrep screening, and NON-GYN (ThinPrep, smear, and cytospin) screening, in balance with our current Cytotechnologist who has 40 years of experience in Cytotechnology.
