Orientation is a week and a half on day shift 0600-1430 then transition to 1430-2300 for contract with every other weekend required and possibly some overnight shifts as needed. Top 10 Procedures/Tests: CBCWD, CMP, CRP, LFP, Type and Screen with crossmatch, routine culture, blood cultures, respiratory PCR testing, PT/INR, ESR, Lactic acid, HA1C. Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required First-timers accepted: Yes.
Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend. Certs REQ: ASCP required. Is on-call REQ?

Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.

Hospital clinical laboratory. Required Blood Bank Skills/Experience: ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, Antibody Typing: Tube Method, Antigen Typing, Blood banking procedures, Cold Agglutinins, Cord Blood Evaluation, Crossmatch-Immediate Spin/IgG, Direct Coombs (DAT), Electronic Crossmatch, Indirect Coombs Test, Transfusion Reaction Workup. Required Chemistry Skills/Experience: 24 hour urine, Acetone Analysis, Arterial Blood Gas, B-12 Folates, Cardiac Enzymes, Hormone/Thyroid, Immunoassay, Review & Interpretation of QC, Specimen Preparation, Stool Analysis, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Thyroid testing.
Required Equipment Skills/Experience: Siemen's Dimensions, Sysmex XM. Required Hematology/Coagulation Skills/Experience: Automated Instrument Use, Manual Differential, Fetal hemoglobin, Fibrin split products/FDP, Fibrinogen, Malarial Examination, Occult Blood, Platelet aggregation, Platelet Count, Reticulocyte Count. Required Immunology/Serology Skills/Experience: ASO titer (Antistrepolysin O), Body fluids, Rheumatoid Factor, RPR (rapid plasma reagin), Rubella Serology.
Required Microbiology Skills/Experience: Culture plating, Cytospin, Gram Stain, PCR Testing (flu; group B; MRSA Screen; staph aureus; covid), Plate Set Up, Rapid test kits RSV (strep; H-flu; C-diff), Wet prep (WBC; Yeast; Trichomonas). Required Specimen Processing/Handling Skills/Experience: Accessioning, Pipetting, Specimen Collection, Specimen Receipt, Specimen Transport, Reporting test results. Required Uranalysis Skills/Experience: Analyzer, Crystal identification, Manual macroscopic UA, Microscopic UA, Semen analysis.
Required Professional Knowledge and
Blood specimen storage, Hazardous materials and MSDS, Proper disposal, Proper labeling, Quality assurance and controls, Transmission based precautions, Venipuncture. Cerner experience preferred. Must be in IL 3 business days prior to compliance HDD in order to meet fingerprinting requirements.
