- Thursday-Saturday 1800-0630. We also require our travelers to work every other Wednesday 2200-0630

- Licenses: Preference will be given to folks who already have their NV license.

- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (ASCP)
- Experience Required: 2 years experience required. Prior travel experience of one 13 week assignment required. Core Lab/Generalist is the best way to describe this position. If the candidate only has experience in Microbiology or Blood Bank, they are would not be an ideal fit. Experience with these machineswould be a plus: Chemistry: Roche Cobas Pro, Hematology: Sysmex XN with Cellavision, Coagulation: Stago STAR Max, Urinalysis: UN 3000 Additional Comments: Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. Will be required to work 2 or 3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period. Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts. Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts. Hospital Information: Extremely busy and fast paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level 2 trauma center, Stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient bed hospital, 80 ER beds. The volume and pace required to work here are that of level 1 trauma center Hiring Profile: Nature and Scope The Lab is a 24-hour/7-days a week operation, providing laboratory services to an inpatient and outpatient population of all ages. The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality and timely laboratory tests for inpatients and outpatients. Test results must be clearly reported to nursing and/or medical staff through direct communication or result entry by computer. Communicating delays in patients care and assisting with technical questions for clinical lab assistants, physicians and nurses is expected. The incumbent must consider the age of the patient when performing testing and releasing results. Must be able to communicate with a diverse patient population and their family when performing special procedures. Behavior promoting positive customer service is expected at all times.
