Labor & Delivery RN – High-Risk High Paying L&D Providence | Seattle, WA 8 Weeks | 48 Hrs/Week | Night Shift | Travel Contract Job Details Start Date: November 16, 2026
Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
4x12-hour shifts per week Openings: 1 Contract Length: 8 weeks
Providence is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk, high-volume unit in Seattle. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing high-acuity obstetric cases, working in a fast-paced environment, circulating in the OR, and providing newborn care during and immediately after delivery. Requirements Minimum 1 year of nursing experience High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required Epic experience required Electronic fetal monitoring experience required Current BLS and NRP certifications required Must be able to circulate in the OR Must provide newborn care, including assessments, eye care, and vitamin K injections Unit Highlights 31 L&D rooms/beds 4 operating rooms Average daily census: 15 Approximately 500–600 deliveries per month Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines Schedule & Floating Every other weekend and holidays as needed Schedule posted every 6 weeks based on unit needs Floating required to Postpartum/Antepartum and potentially sister facilities with Mother/Baby units Pre-approved time off considered case by case Certifications Required: BLS, NRP Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate Facility: Providence Swedish First Hill Campus Location: 747 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122
