Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours, distance being traveled, and customizations available for travelers. Minimum: NYS RN licensure, min. 1-year nurse experience in long term care + supervisory experience across multiple units Minimum: Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing. Preferred: BSN License: Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure

BLS required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation. CPI obtained within 90 days of hire. Job Functions: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC and in accordance with established policies and procedures, oversees the operation of the nursing units and personally or through subordinates, provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the various nursing units.

Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts. Communicates with Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Manager regarding identified and potential unit problems and collaborates with Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers to resolve problems. Contacts Director of Nursing on off hours for only those critical issues requiring resolution and leaves appropriate communication at work for all other items.

Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator - LTC (off-shift/weekends) within identified scope of responsibility.
