Medical Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Med/Psych RN) Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago is seeking a compassionate Medical Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Med/Psych RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with both medical and behavioral health needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients while promoting safety, recovery, and positive clinical outcomes.
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and clinical judgment.
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients with medical and psychiatric conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments, including psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond to behavioral health crises and promote a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license.
- Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of combined Medical-Surgical and Behavioral Health nursing experience.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health care.
- PMH-BC certification preferred. Benefits
