Nights, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an AL or compact RN license and Level II Trauma experience preferred. Details Work in a Medical Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00), every other weekend Patient ratio of 1:6 Floating required, with possible charge responsibilities as needed 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals Requirements Active RN license (AL or compact) required Current BLS certification via AHA required, Fit Test required NIHSS certification preferred Minimum 1 year of experience required Level II Trauma experience preferred Travel experience preferred Experience with IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac required Experience with blood product administration, peripheral line care, and PICC line management preferred Experience with colostomy/ileostomy management and feeding tube care preferred Experience administering heparin, insulin, and PCA medications preferred Experience with nasal cannula and oxygen administration preferred Experience with surgical drains preferred Paragon charting system experience preferred 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required Additional Information Provide direct patient care including IV therapy, wound management, and isolation precautions for adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients May occasionally take on charge nurse responsibilities Candidates with pending licenses may be considered Requested time off limited to a maximum of 7 days Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position Local candidates residing within 60 miles are considered
