Variable, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Oct 19, 2026 Length: 16 weeks Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 20-bed adult and pediatric unit requiring 3 years of med-surg experience and 1 year of pediatric experience. Details 20-bed medical-surgical unit caring for adult geriatric and pediatric patients Staffing ratios typically 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-Covid patients and 2:1 (max 3:1) for Covid patients 12-hour night shift schedule, typically 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next Up to 1 on-call shift per week required Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed May be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed Floating to other qualified departments may be required, including patient care or task-oriented duties Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required Minimum 3 years of med-surg experience required Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Additional Information Maximum of two shift call-offs allowed during the assignment RTO requests for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be accepted Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings Orientation occurs on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline will push start to the next scheduled orientation
