Unit Description: 40-bed Post-Surgical Care Unit (PSCU) providing pre- and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients following PACU recovery. Fast-paced unit with 10–15 admissions daily and a typical length of stay of 2–3 days.
Patient Ratios: Days/evenings 1:4–5; nights 1:5–7.
