We are seeking a qualified Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing patients with varying medical conditions and an understanding of telemetry monitoring. Key Responsibilities Provide patient-centered care in a medical-surgical telemetry setting.
Monitor patient vital signs and detect any changes in patient condition. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Document patient care and progress in electronic health records.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure positive patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on health issues and post-discharge care. Qualifications MUST HAVE an active and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
A minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience is required. Current AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory. Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is required.
Ability to work at least every other holiday is necessary. A recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission. Shift Information Night shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Assessment Requirements During orientation, participants must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment, achieving acceptable scores on both. Local Candidates Local candidates are welcomed and will be considered at the same rate as travelers.
