Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical With Telemetry. This role provides patient-centered nursing care for individuals with complex medical conditions, including pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, acute kidney injury, and osteomyelitis. The position involves assessment, care planning, medication administration, patient and family education, care coordination, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Job Details Required
At least six months of Registered Nurse (RN) experience; graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), Health Safety Institute (HSI), or American Red Cross; strong collaboration, communication, judgment and critical-thinking, organization, planning, problem-solving, quality, reliability, and safety and risk-management skills.
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute-care or ambulatory setting; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; professional certification in a related nursing specialty; relevant skills certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), as applicable to the assigned unit.
Night shifts of 12 hours, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week assignment. Additional Information: Provides nursing care as a primary or accountable nurse, including assessment, planning, delegation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include safe medication administration, patient and family education, evidence-based practice, participation in quality-improvement activities, support for new employees and students, and completion of professional development and required education.
Experience with Epic is preferred.
