Rotating, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 23, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN with telemetry and central line experience for a 12-hour PM-AM rotation at a nationally recognized CF center. Details Work in the Medical Specialties Unit, a medical (non-surgical) acute care unit Care for patients with acute or chronic illness including sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease, diabetes, GI issues, fluid/electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, and skin/wound issues Treat acute and chronic respiratory conditions including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis as part of a nationally recognized CF center Unit consists of 1 East (36 beds) and 2/3 East (25 beds) 12-hour PM-AM shift, 19:00-07:00, with day/night rotation Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week On-call responsibilities required Requirements Active RN license (NH or Compact) required BLS certification mandatory Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required Experience with chest tubes, lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients required Experience administering drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone required Experience with trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry monitoring, and complex wound care required Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience required Additional Information Provide direct care for a medically complex adult patient population with multi-system conditions Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not permitted First-time travelers may be considered
