Details Telemetry unit in a short term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00 Patient ratio of 1:5 Every other weekend required Floating between units required No on-call requirements Epic EMR used Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission Current
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS At least 1 year of recent RN experience required Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of post-surgical neurology patients with varied neurological diagnoses Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac) preferred Experience with craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care preferred Epic charting experience required 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional Information Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response May float between sister facilities near the contracted site Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day), with Christmas coverage especially needed Scrubs of any color accepted for RN Any RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live more than 50 miles from the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates
