6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting - Skills Required: VITAL SIGNS (Height/Weight, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Obtain Vital Signs, Pulse Oximetry, Vision testing ), PREPARE FOR EXAM (Positioning/Draping, Record History/Medications/Allergies), SET UP & ASSIST WITH PROCEDURES (Dressing Change, Pap Smear, Set up aseptic / sterile procedure trays), INJECTIONS (Immunizations, Intradermal, Intramuscular), SPECIMEN COLLECTION (Labeling of specimens, Sputum, Stool, Throat, Urine - UA/Clean Catch, Vaginal, Wound), LABORATORY TESTS (Strep, Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis), OFFICE DUTIES (Authorization Forms, Chart Preparation, Insurance Verification, Ordering supplies, Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, Scheduling appointments, Stocking Supplies, Telephone Triage), PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (Administering Medication, Administration of TB Test, Aseptic Technique, Follow up phone calls, Review Lab Tests, Rooming, Patients, Suture Removal, Wound care) - Certs REQ: BLS - License REQ: MA-C - First-timers accepted: Yes - Weekend REQ: No - Is on-call REQ?
