BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) minimum 2 years of experience preferred; active IL license or confirmation of application process required Experience or
At least 2 years of nursing experience preferred, previous travel experience is a plus Department: Med Surg Bed count: 2 South: 18 beds; 3 South: 22 beds Patient ratios: Days 1:5, Nights 1:5-6 Common patient diagnoses: Medical acute conditions including pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, COPD, urologic, surgical, total joints, general surgery, and occasional pediatric respiratory illnesses Duties include collaboration with patient care techs on care plans, performing foley care, CHG bathing, oral cares, and troubleshooting Bi-pap and high-flow equipment.
Telemetry: RNs required to monitor telemetry strips and read their own strips; monitors provided. Float: Float rotation may be required, including potential float to ICU for overflow or to another campus up to 25 miles away, with notification at least 2 hours prior to shift. Scrubs: Solid color scrubs, no prints, provided.
