Quick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a MRI Technologist in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Location Altoona, PA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift Rotating Shift - 12x3
As an MRI Technologist, you will independently perform imaging procedures and a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity for diagnostic purposes. You will maintain MR safety and clinical competency while providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities Practice and maintain MR safety in the department.
Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving imaging data. Conduct patient assessments and review history before exams. Use two patient identifiers and universal protocols for patient identification.
Document patient history electronically as required. Effectively communicate with patients to help alleviate fears and obtain cooperation. Work collaboratively within the department and with other departments.
Ensure exams are properly coded and tracked and that all patient information is updated. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to system-wide competencies. Required Experience 2 years of experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure ARRT Certificate or ARMRIT certification or CNMT or ARDMS registry. MR registry must be obtained within 18 months of the primary registry acquisition or within 12 months of hiring. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
