Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 9, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and recent Med/Surg-Tele specialty experience. Details Float pool position covering Med/Surg, MS/Tele, and Orthopedics units Floating may be requested based on facility needs Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required Patient ratio of 1:6 Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active VA RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience Specialty experience required within the last year Epic charting experience preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management CVA and neurological/psychiatric skills preferred Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, telemetry, and orthopedic patient populations Local candidates accepted at the same base rate Prior permanent employees must have a 6-month gap before being eligible for travel assignments RTO should be minimal, with no more than 7 days total and no full calendar weeks off during the assignment All RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as no additional requests will be approved after an offer is made Candidates cannot work both travel assignments and per diem contracts at the same facility simultaneously
