Rotating, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 9, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Neuro ICU RN with 2+ years of Neuro Critical Care experience for a rotating shift assignment at a large academic medical center. Details Work in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU), a Neuro ICU Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and nerve or muscle diseases, many post-op from neurosurgical procedures Role requires interfacing between neurological and other vital organ systems Rotating 7a/7p shift schedule 36 hours per week with no guaranteed hours Required to work 3 of every 6 weekends On-call required approximately 2 times per 6-week schedule Holiday coverage as needed Floating required as needed to areas of similar skill set, including ICU and IMC Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license, Multi-State/Compact or Maryland license required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course preferred Epic EMR experience required Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ beds) preferred Additional Information Provide specialized post-operative neurosurgical and critical care to neurologically complex patients Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month Local candidates accepted at the same rate Strong candidates preferred given the academic medical center setting
