Nights, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a NICU position requiring a WA or compact RN license and prior NICU experience with Epic charting. Details Work in a NICU III/IV unit caring for neonates as young as 24-28 weeks gestation Patient ratio of 1:3 Night shift schedule (4x12 hours), 18:45-07:15 Floating to Childbirth Center units required based on patient care needs Care involves ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), IV therapy, arterial and central/umbilical line management, and administration of vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids Manages feeding support including bottle, breast, and gavage feedings, and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube placement Monitors for dysrhythmias, infectious disease precautions, and neonatal abstinence syndrome Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of NICU experience preferred Epic charting experience required Additional Information Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no blocked schedules accepted All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and cannot be modified afterward Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers Travel pairs accepted Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers, averaging 8-12 hours
