- Previous Allina Health Provider Coordinator experience required for this short-term need
- Candidate must already be familiar with Allina Provider Coordinator workflows and be able to ramp up with minimal training
- Former Allina employees must be separated from employment for a minimum of 3 months and be eligible for rehire

- Epic experience required
- Appointment scheduling and patient-facing healthcare experience required
- Oncology department support role within Radiation Oncology
- Candidate may provide scheduling and work queue support to other AHCI departments as needed following training
- Position will remain based on the United Hospital campus REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary education in a medical field preferred EXPERIENCE
- 2–5 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare scheduling, patient access, provider coordination, or healthcare administrative support role
- Previous experience performing Provider Coordinator duties at Allina Health
- Epic experience
- Experience scheduling patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic testing, and/or provider schedules in a healthcare setting
- Patient-facing healthcare/customer service experience
- Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
- Experience supporting providers, clinics, and patient scheduling workflows
- Ability to independently manage complex workflows with minimal training CERTIFICATIONS

- Insurance verification and prior authorization experience
- Experience managing referral, insurance, or scheduling work queues
- Experience obtaining, reviewing, and managing medical records
- Experience supporting multiple providers and managing complex scheduling workflows
- Oncology or specialty clinic experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, surgeries, hospital admissions, and related services across multiple providers
- Maintain and communicate provider schedules and calendars while documenting scheduling activities within Epic
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed
- Support scheduling workflows and administrative coordination activities
- Manage referral, insurance, and scheduling work queues to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
- Provide scheduling and work queue support to other AHCI departments as needed
- Provide telephone coverage and route messages appropriately
- Assist with department administrative support, records management, and reporting requirements
- Prepare patient charts by reviewing records, obtaining outside documentation, and ensuring information is accurately scanned and indexed into the EMR
- Coordinate interpreter services as needed
- Maintain department records, manuals, and patient education materials
- Participate in data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards
- Support physician reimbursement, credentialing, charge capture, and medical record processes as assigned
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
