-Must have a minimum 3 to 5 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience -Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques -Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English -Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays -Skill in balancing currency, coins, checks, and credit card payments.
**THIS POSITION REQUIRES WASHING POTS** Please make sure candidates are aware this is a big part of the position. Reporting to the Food Services Manager and working within the kitchen, cafeteria, and/or patient services, the Pr. Food Service Worker functions as a Lead directing and prioritizing daily work flow for a specific area within Nutrition Services as assigned.
Also, Pr. Food Service Worker functions as a cashier with responsibility for correct handling of cash transactions and maintaining satisfactory customer relationship during an assigned shift. Ensures adequate staffing and problem resolution to meet departmental standards (sanitation, customer service, etc.) Trains/orients new Food Service Workers.
Assembles and delivers patient meal trays and prepares special orders. Occasionally mixes dietary supplements when directed and performs special function food and service preparation.
