Position OverviewPermanent, full-time opportunityNuclear Medicine departmentPerform a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine proceduresOperate nuclear medicine imaging equipmentMaintain accurate patient and procedure recordsProvide safe, high-quality, patient-centered careUp to $10,000 in relocation assistanceCompensation & IncentivesPay: $45.00–$75.71 per hour, based on experienceUp to $10,000 relocation assistanceComprehensive benefits packageProfessional development opportunitiesCompetitive compensation based on experienceUp to $10,000 relocation assistanceComprehensive benefits packageProfessional development opportunitiesKey ResponsibilitiesPerform nuclear medicine procedures with a high level of technical qualityOperate nuclear medicine cameras and related equipmentObtain pertinent patient information and identify age-specific patient needsMaintain appropriate radiation safety and protection protocolsCalculate study results and radioactive decay as requiredPrepare, handle, and document radiopharmaceuticals according to established proceduresMaintain accurate records related to radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposalStart IVs and perform injections when applicableMaintain aseptic technique during proceduresMonitor patients throughout procedures and communicate changes in condition to nursing staff or physiciansMaintain a safe environment and follow appropriate patient identification and transport proceduresComplete accurate documentation in the hospital information systemMaintain equipment, supplies, and a clean, organized imaging environmentReport equipment deficiencies or safety concerns to appropriate leadershipComplete assigned procedures and communicate unfinished work to relief staffAssist in other areas of the department as neededRequirements--EducationGraduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required for individuals hired after March 1, 2025Licensure & CertificationsOne of the following required:ARRT – Nuclear Medicine (NM)NMTCB – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)American Heart Association BLSExperiencePrevious Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferredStrong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and techniquesExperience operating nuclear medicine equipment preferredSkills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:Strong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, techniques, and medicationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to technical qualityAbility to perform complex mathematical calculations related to nuclear medicine proceduresFine motor skills and manual dexterityAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to communicate professionally with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsAbility to learn and perform complex technical tasksStrong computer skills and familiarity with hospital information systemsCommitment to radiation safety and patient carePatient Care & SafetyObtain and verify patient identification using appropriate proceduresReview pertinent clinical history and symptomsMaintain radiation protection standardsMaintain aseptic techniqueSafely transport and monitor patients throughout proceduresRemain with patients who may be at risk for falls or injuryCommunicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical teamProvide a safe, respectful, and compassionate patient experienceWhy This OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist looking to build a long-term career in Southern California.
