Certifications
✓BLS from AHA only
✓NRP and STABLE
Qualifications
✓1 year Med Surg or Mother/baby
✓All contingency requests must be on the submission form
✓As required by facility (Every third weekend)
✓As required by facility (Units will depend on skill level of the nurse)
✓Must Have Skills/
Years of Experience: 1 year Med Surg or Mother/baby preferred
Float Requirements: As required by facility (Units will depend on skill level of the nurse) preferred
Number of Beds: 24 adult/10 newborns preferred
Patient Ratios: 6:1 (estimates, not guarantees) preferred
Equipment: Alaris IV pumps preferred
EMR: Epic preferred
Must Have Skills/Experience: Mother/baby and/or Med Surg preferred
Preferred Skillset/Experience: Both Mother/Baby & Med Surg due to patient population
Type of Patients on Unit: Mother/baby and med/surg, GYN surgical, bariatric procedures, colorectal surgeries preferred
Personality Fit: Team player, positive attitude, motivated self-starter preferred
Scrub Color: Black preferred
Any unacceptable attire: Anything besides black scrubs and Mercy branded tops preferred
