To Be Confirmed Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute care travel contract at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Indiana . Position Overview This opportunity is ideal for an OT who enjoys the fast-paced hospital environment and working with medically complex patients. You'll provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment to hospitalized patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery and other acute medical conditions, helping improve functional independence and prepare for safe discharge.
Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations in an acute hospital setting Assess functional mobility, transfers and activities of daily living (ADLs) Provide early mobilization and functional rehabilitation Address upper-extremity strength, coordination, balance and activity tolerance Develop individualized treatment plans based on medical status and functional needs Educate patients and caregivers on safety and adaptive techniques Collaborate with physicians, nursing, PT, SLP and case management Recommend appropriate discharge destinations and equipment Maintain accurate clinical documentation Qualifications Active Indiana Occupational Therapist license Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program Acute care experience preferred Experience with medically complex patients preferred BLS certification if required by the facility Strong clinical reasoning and interdisciplinary communication skills About Marion, Indiana 🌳☀️ Marion is located in north-central Indiana and offers a relaxed small-town atmosphere with access to parks, outdoor recreation and nearby reservoirs.
