UNIT: ONCOLOGY Outpatient clinic 32 chairs Minimum
1.5 years of nursing experience – 1 year must be in Outpatient Infusion Oncology and must be current experience If only experienced in BMT or highly specialized oncology: will not be a good skill match No 1st time travelers, must have completed at least (2) 13-week assignment Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility Required
BLS required ONS Chemo certification required – will be collected as part of compliance OCN preferred Charting System/Equipment: Epic Ambulatory - required Med Dispensing: Omnicell Patient Types: Medical Oncology/Chemotherapy Infusion All cancer types: Solid tumor GYN Breast Hematology Visits per Day: Average # of patients seen per day: will take 5-8 patients per day; 3-4 at a time max Skills required: Must have broad oncology experience to include all cancers listed above Comfortability with: Chemotherapy infusion, chart checks, rooming patients: VS, weight, review of systems check, medication reconciliation Floating: Will float to other clinics as needed within the Cancer Care Institute Scheduling: No weekends No call No major holidays – will be scheduled to work minor holidays that the clinic is open Approval of time off? manager approval Shift times: alternating between 0800-1630 and 0830-1700 Scrub Color: Navy Blue Free Parking
