Operating Room Nurse Location: unspecified. This position provides direct patient care in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams and patients, administering medications and treatments, and supervising clinical staff.
Job Details Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required. Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.
Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy. Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM start, 8-hour shift, minimum 40 hours per week.

EPIC, detail-oriented, BLS (CPR).
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required. Certifications &
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, and certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Required Certifications &
PALS and ACLS preferred.
