Surgical Technologist Operating Room. The Surgical Technologist supports surgeons and proceduralists in the Endoscopy Suite and Operating Room by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with complex gastrointestinal procedures. The position also involves surgical equipment care, handling, and maintenance.
Job Details Required
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential; graduation from a surgical technologist program; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; minimum of 2 years of experience scrubbing complex Endoscopy cases; experience with endoscope reprocessing using automatic high-level disinfection processes.
Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; variable MondayFriday schedule with required weekend call.
Assist surgeons and proceduralists by providing basic instruments and maintaining sterile techniques for procedures performed in the Endoscopy Suite and Operating Room. Manage the care, handling, and maintenance of surgical equipment. Additional Information: Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided.
