Bi-Weekly Orientation
Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during the orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in a hospital surgical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong OR experience and the ability to work a flexible schedule while supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities✓ Provide nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process.✓ Prepare patients, equipment, and operating rooms for surgical procedures.✓ Assist with surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.✓ Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.✓ Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.✓ Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.✓ Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.✓ Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
Qualifications/Initial Requirement✓ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible compact license.✓ Previous Operating Room/OR nursing experience required.✓ BLS certification required.✓ Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique.✓ Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.✓ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
