Rotating 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required Hours: Availability for up to 40 hours per week is required; guaranteed hours may vary Work Setting: On-site operating room and perioperative care environment Opportunity: Possible extension based on staffing needs and performance Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii is required before the start of the assignment At least 1 year of professional Registered Nurse experience Operating room, perioperative, and circulating RN experience strongly preferred Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Serve as the circulating Registered Nurse during surgical procedures Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team Verify patient identity, procedure, consent, allergies, and surgical-site preparation according to established protocols Maintain a safe, sterile, and well-organized operating room environment Document patient assessments, intraoperative care, medications, specimens, counts, and outcomes accurately Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative experience Assist with room preparation, equipment checks, surgical counts, and post-procedure handoff Respond effectively to changing patient and procedural needs Apply now for this Honolulu, Hawaii travel nursing opportunity and join an experienced perioperative healthcare team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
