Days, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 30, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma Center requiring EPIC experience and general OR/trauma background. Details Operating Room unit within a Level I Trauma Center Primarily adult patient population 1:1 patient ratio Day/Evening rotating shifts (7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p) Call required, including up to 4 weeknight calls and 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule No floating required Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required; compact licenses not accepted BLS and CAC certifications required Minimum 1 year of experience required General OR and Trauma surgery experience required Epic charting system experience required Teaching hospital experience required Trauma Level I experience required All required certifications must be obtained prior to start date Additional Information Scrub and assist in a wide range of surgical specialties including plastics, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, bariatrics, robotics, and trauma procedures Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci and Mako preferred Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and specialty OR equipment Flu vaccination required with no medical or religious exemptions; allergy-free option available if needed First-time travelers are accepted Local candidates accepted at the travel rate Former permanent employees may return as travelers after one year, provided they left in good standing and were not employed within the past 12 months Traveler pairs are not accepted All requested time off must be submitted upfront, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment No pre-hire training modules required; all orientation modules completed onsite
