Evenings, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level II Trauma Center with required trauma experience and a CT or compact RN license. Details Operating Room unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds Level II Trauma Center setting Evening shift schedule (5x8 hours, 1500-2330) Holiday and weekend rotation required as needed Call required Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start BLS certification required Minimum 3 years of OR experience required, 5 years preferred Trauma experience required, including Level I and Level II Trauma experience Prior travel experience required with a minimum of 3 assignments in Level I Trauma or high trauma settings Epic charting experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred 1 professional reference required Additional Information Scrubs provided for this role Free parking available as part of the Yale New Haven Health System Perform surgical nursing duties across a broad range of specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, trauma, and robotic surgeries Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required with only religious or medical exemptions accepted Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the hospital to be considered Former staff employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
