Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 9, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring general surgery experience and EPIC proficiency. Details Acute care setting in a Surgical Services department with 5 operating suites and 2 procedure rooms Handles 20-30 cases per day including general, orthopedic, gynecological, podiatry, endoscopy, and ophthalmology procedures Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm with 1-2 9am-5:30pm shifts per 6-week schedule Uses EPIC EMR system Call required once per week (weeknights 3:15pm-6:45am) and one weekend every 5-6 weeks (Sat 7am-Mon 7am) Call response time of 30 minutes required No floating required Self-scheduling available OR techs present on the unit Daytime supervisor present but does not typically take an assignment; house supervisor available during call Requirements Active IL RN license required BLS (AHA) certification required ACLS preferred but not required Minimum 2 years of experience required EPIC EMR experience required BSN not required Scrubbing not required for RNs Additional Information Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties in a high-volume OR setting Hospital-provided scrubs No holiday call requirements Local candidates welcome; reduced local rate applies for clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility No radius rule restricting eligibility Cancellation policy allows up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment without penalty 12 hours of non-billable orientation required COVID vaccination not required
