Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 17, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with transplant experience required for a day-shift assignment requiring holiday on-call coverage. Details Operating Room unit setting Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) 1:1 patient ratio Float to main OR required when no transplant surgeries are scheduled On-call required, including holiday call for at least one holiday during the assignment Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active LA RN license or compact license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted) BLS certification required CNOR certification preferred Minimum 2 years of transplant OR experience required General OR experience also required to support floating assignments Previous travel experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Two recent manager references required Additional Information Provide perioperative nursing care for transplant surgeries including kidney, liver, pancreas, and organ donation procedures Float to general OR for gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and other surgical specialties as needed Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci and Mako is a plus Maintain infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol standards Pre-start facility education modules required and completed prior to assignment start Does not accept first-time travelers Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments Any license disciplinary history must be disclosed along with a personal statement
