Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 30, 2026 Length: 26 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 12-hour night shift position requiring Level I trauma experience and a minimum of 2 years OR experience. Details Work in the OR Float Pool within a 17-bed inpatient/outpatient OR plus 5 procedural rooms at a Level I trauma facility Patient population includes open heart, transplant, trauma, and neuro cases, all adult (no pediatric patients) Covers all surgical case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary 12-hour night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week May include weekend shifts, with weekday schedule varying based on unit needs May float between OR rooms but not between facility locations No call requirements May be required to take occasional late stays if OR case volume runs long Requirements Active RN license (TN or Compact) required Minimum of 2 years OR experience required Prior travel experience at a similar Level I trauma facility required Experience in general surgeries preferred Complete COVID-19 vaccine series or valid exemption required by start date Additional Information 26-week contract assignments only will be considered Limited time off approved during contract, with expectation to work 2 of 3 major holidays No more than 5-7 days of time off can be approved during the assignment Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 75-mile radius First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
