Day-to-DayAs an Occupational Therapist at Hands of Hope, you will:Evaluate & Plan: Perform comprehensive OT evaluations based on physician referrals and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs and functional goals. Deliver Skilled Interventions: Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance strength, coordination, fine motor skills, cognitive function, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Guide & Educate: Teach patients and caregivers safe home exercise programs, adaptive equipment usage, and self-management strategies to maximize independence. Track & Refine: Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as appropriate, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation. Collaborate for Better Outcomes: Work closely alongside physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver seamless, coordinated care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional standards.
What We're Looking ForRequired:Active Occupational Therapist (OT) License in the State of New York. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred:Previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation or therapy clinic. Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical patients.
