Primarily 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional 10:00 AM–6:00 PM shifts Hours Per Week: 40 Orientation: 8 hours Estimated Weekly

$3,240–$3,470 Job Requirements Master’s degree required At least 2 years of hospital clinical laboratory experience Experience in surgical pathology required ASCP or ASCP-PA certification preferred Experience with EPIC preferred; documentation system experience required Strong skills in gross examination, specimen handling, and histological processing Comfort reviewing scans, X-rays, and laboratory results to support clinical decision-making Ability to meet New York compliance requirements for assignment onboarding Responsibilities Perform gross examination and dissection of small biopsies and large or complex surgical pathology specimens Prepare detailed macroscopic descriptions of gross anatomic features Section surgical pathology specimens and prepare tissue for histological processing Receive, identify, accession, and label specimens accurately Capture and analyze gross and microscopic photographs as needed Review relevant patient clinical information, including imaging and lab data Support the pathology team with careful, detail-oriented specimen processing in a hospital setting Apply now for this Pathologists' Assistant travel job in Patchogue, NY, and join a respected hospital laboratory team today.
