PCU - Progressive Care Unit (RN)

is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Step Down Unit on a travel assignment. The ideal candidate must have previous ICU experience and be proficient in Epic EMR. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and clinical intervention.

Candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions, and experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring step-down or intermediate-level nursing care. Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment.

Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards. Required Qualifications Active Rhode Island RN license or authorization to practice in Rhode Island.

Previous ICU experience REQUIRED. Epic EMR experience REQUIRED.

Previous Step Down or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience. Experience with continuous cardiac monitoring and complex patient care. Submission RequirementsCandidates without ICU experience or Epic EMR experience will not be considered.
